Finished Dreaming Poodle night shirt

Again, hello world and blog. Like I posted in my other blog, its been awhile. I know. I always say that, but I have been busy with a personal project. Hoping that it will pan out. πŸ™But the way the world is right now, makes me wish I could leave the planet for something better. A planet without AHoles! I ask my self every day lately, "do I even have a future? Is there a point?" "Is there anything for anyone? "I really hope that mister constipated P is not going to wreak the whole world with his selfishness.  Rich people at the top who feel have the right to "pull the strings" make me sick!" 😑You know who you are!!! You will pay by your own hand! Then you will ask"what was the point?!"

Anyways here is how that Dreaming Poodle Night shirt turned out. Very beautifully and just what I needed. Hopefully I will get to make more of these but it seems to get harder and harder to find the time to make personal things for my self. But still going to try.

Again, I had purchased a nice extra large magenta tank top or well, a plus size. Because I like loose for sleeping. Normally I wear an extra large for day time use shirts. I made a cute drawing of a poodle sleeping and drew some novelty text to enhance my design. Hand printed it onto the tank top. Then hand painted as well as airbrushed the whole thing in fabric acrylic. Finished it by clear coating it.Wore it quite comfortably last summer. 😊

Dreaming Poodle night shirt "The making of" Part2

Some more lovely pics of my night shirt. They're pretty much done in these pics only some details to be added. Will be show later in the final part of the project. You can see this time there was a lot more airbrushing that was applied. Makes it come alive doesn't it? BTW I'm taking advantage of the colour that's already there for my starting point of the shirt illustration.

See previous post for how I started off with this project.  As always hope you like it. 😊

Dreaming Poodle Night Shirt origional drawings and some work in progress

First off Happy New year. Hopefully it will be a better year to come but well you know. I'll keep out the negativity because there's enough of it to go around and we certainly don't need more of it and or around here anyways.

Going to post some new stuff. Just a hint of it for now since there's a lot of it to show. I actually completed this months ago but I find my self always busy completing something.

Its of a night shirt with a sleeping dreaming poodle on it. Its both airbrushed and hand painted. I decided to make one since it so hard to find one at a fair price these days. I decided to match it with a pair of I think they're shorts or capri style of PJ pants which also have a doggy theme to them. I'm too lazy to find out what they are for sure. The painted image character and text was made on to a extra, extra large tank top for plus size people for personal comfort. I prefer loose fitting especially for sleeping in. My actual size I prefer is large to extra large fitting for normal daytime use.

Also in the to do list update the links in my personal website regarding past works of holiday cards. Oh well.

New Moon Bear set

Now out New Moon Bear set. I actually finished this one months ago but just decided to share it now. I decided to delay sharing this version because of personal use at a new "merch store" I'm trying out and experimenting and I wanted first crack at it. Its mine after all. πŸ˜‰
The original version was a sketch I made years ago probably while bored or on a break onsite. I then illustrated it in traditional form and made a small Photoshop file for use on my personal site years ago. And now its also available in clip art vector form and in my new "murch store". Links will be provided below the illustrated sample/link.

Please note that the website priced these for my products and not me.
Proceeds go to the ending of mooching off my parents and gaining my own house and out of my parents. πŸ˜‰ In other words helps to pay off expenses. Thank you! 😊

Monarch butterfly 2 extra

Now out monarch butterfly 2 extra. JPG only non scalable version. But just as beautiful. As always to be featured in my personal web site soon.
Also another online portfolio bites the dust for me too cause they decided to now charge a usage fee. No biggy. There are still plenty of quality online port providers out there. Its a big pond after all. It was just a backup port anyhow. But none the less I saved all of my info in other words a back up from that place and now I can move to a new spot. πŸ˜πŸ˜‰

Monarch Butterfly 1 Extra

First of all I just want to say is Please Stay safe. This virus is no joke. Stay indoors and don't go out. Even better do some praying for your fellow man. The least you can do since there are no Easter celebrations this year in a physical building. But we can still celebrate and do some honor in our own vessel for our fellow man.

Anyhow here is the Extra version of MB1 JPG only form, designed as an option cause you can make it like this in order for it to be a true vector.

Monarch Butterfly Set 2

Now out Monarch Butterfly Set 2. This version features the previous butterfly only now the butterfly is feeding on a cluster of butterfly bush/weed flowers. Very lovely orange coloured blossoms. If you can see them in real life, its really something special. Especially when you see other insects other then just butterflies feeding on them.

Monarch-butterfly set 1

A little something for the coming spring and summer season. These little guys will soon be migrating up north once again. I designed these by studying many pics of reference sources. I would take a few pics my self but so far my timing is pretty lousy. Plus I had made a few of these illustrations in the past too for other purposes. So also decided to take advantage of all of that and make a vector illustration version. There are other versions of this too and will be showing them in future coming posts. Enjoy.😊

Leopard patch

I have this purse and I only had it for a few years. This is the type of purse that's a bit on the pricey side of things and I really didn't feel like getting rid of it so soon. So I did a bit of exploring to see what type of patches are out there. Didn't exactly like what I saw. Lots and lots of cheep looking Chinese made patches. Probably only worth 50'cents or lower but sold at a 5 bucks a pop or higher at a fabric shop. Looked in other stores too but the selection was even worse. So I decided to make my own. I first looked at what I had, did some thinking, some more exploring at craft stores est and then looked at my purse some more. Thought to my self. Lets make paw prints and a lounging leopard. I mean why not? I already had found a discarded umbrella cover I saved in my junk box with that same theme to cover up some buckles that always seemed to come apart on my purse.
So I quickly drew up a cute lounging leopard on some tracing paper. I used tracing paper or parchment paper to first plot out all those holes on my purse. So that's why the leopard is lounging the way it is. The paw prints were for the holes that weren't so close together. So anyways I drew my leopard pattern on the pattern of mapped out holes. Then I found parts of some old jeans. They were remnants that I also saved earlier for these types of purposes too. Comes in very handy.
I then drew out some paw prints and that leopard on to the scraps of jean materials. I ended up drawing out 3 paws and the leopard. Later I painted them up with some acrylic fabric paint using a regular old brush. I used mostly browns and yellow. Nothing fancy because that would come later. I ended up purchasing some fake plastic jewellery findings mostly shiny gold colour and another sheet of multi coloured gems cause I couldn't just get the right green ones that were the right size for the eyes. Just as well I can save those for another project. So anyways I sewed them all on my now coloured up patches. When finished I gave them a good clear coating for added protection. Later pilfered some "Shoe Glue" from my dad and then cut off the remaining jean material that remained on my embellished shapes. I find "Shoe glue" really great and handy stuff to patch on patches on to things.
And here you have the finished product. Hope you like it. 😊

Turkey card

Now posted in my personal web site the blue sweater with shinny stars.

Butttt oh what's this a lovely card I made last year with a Thanks Giving theme.
I felt bad last year for missing my friends birthday so I made her this lovely card featuring this makeshift turkey in the tradition of children's craft art. OK they usually make it out of a hand prints but this is like the whimsical version for grown ups.
I used a fancy fall leaf from a Chinese/Japanese maple as the tail. The leaf was preserved last year. Then I took scraps of construction paper shaped it in to the other parts of the turkey. Before I glued them on, I coloured patterns of feathers, face and other things that you would see on a turkey with coloured pencil and markers. I glued them all on a scrap of water coloured paper cut and folded in to a nice card, but not folded in the usual way. Picture a wet floor sign. I kind of was going for something different anyways. Pretty pleased with the whole results. Needless to say she was quite pleased too. And oh yeah I did remember to give her a nice card (another home made)this year for her birthday. I made sure I didn't forget. Wrote it on all kind of calendars and it does help to make things a head of time too.
Anyways Happy Thanks Giving πŸŒ°πŸ—Canadian version. But its also good for the American version too. 😁

Its now or never

Its now or never. This should have been posted about two years ago but it just get pushed back again and again, so I give up. I know its not Christmas anymore but I assure you they're really not that Christmassy but kind of. The following images were sort of Christmas/doodle gifts for a friend that I drew on an envelope. They're not highly developed but they do have some nice shading and are great drawings to see how I go though the process of drawing characters, loosely at least. Normally I like to paint these up or other est but as is are still really nice to look at. Besides I was going for fun and spontaneity. BTW she really enjoyed the drawings too. 😊
Because these are loose character drawings in the raw they will not be featured in my personal site as is,  but I am contemplating on adding a link to them in my personal site in the future.
In the mean time enjoy.

Flamingo Tee shirt.

Ok so I purchase this cheep tee cause I need a tee for mostly when its cold outside. For when its cold out side? Well ya, I like to wear a tee as an extra layer under my shirt when its winter. You know, layers?  But then I'll also probably wear it on a nice day too. You know, hot and sunny?
So anyways, you know me, when I see a potential blank canvas, and well to me this is a blank canvas, I just had to paint something.  I decided to paint some flamingos on it. Reason, just felt like it. Just haven't gone to Florida in years and well flamingos pretty much fit the bill. Laughing gulls being more of favorite symbol of Florida to me second only to palm trees, white sand and warm weather. But somehow flamingos just seem to fit this tee.
I decided just to freehand it instead of just putting some kind of guiding lines all over it and just went  at it. Using just pink acrylic fabric paint and memories of the birds applied the paint in a sketchy scribbly style. I went over some spots with more pink paint doubling the line thickness to produce the elision of highlights.  I tried to take advantage of the black tee and the look of the paint as best as I could. Could have finished it in one day but the paint was kind of old and had some difficulty getting it to flow out of the bottle.  So instead of getting frustrated, I just took a few days to finish it, letting some of it to dry while working on another spot. Eventually after completing it, I heat set it in the dryer.
I think I achieved what I wanted and even got a bit of therapy out of it.
Not totally realistic but you pretty much get what the point was.

Meetso didn't really feel like posing that day so I kind of bribed him with some food. Little did I know, it appears he was sick for a year or so on and off. So who could blame him. Eventually in July the sheep hit the fan and poor Meetso was plugged up because of inferior food. He now eats a good quality food, with occasional natural treats, some kitty candy and the occasional wild caught food he him self he catches.  Oh and he finally got the hint of not eating the heads after loosing his meow due to a sore throat in August. Today he his back to his crazy affectionate kitten self. Well he's about 6 years old but he will always be my little kitten.  ;)

Available for viewing at my web site soon.

A little something old. Fandome wise.

How do you like my new pillow/cover?

Finally got this very old project completed, based on a Garfield calendar I got when I was in my last year of grade school. Yup there it stayed all those years in the back of my little yellow plastic basket collecting years of dust together with other odds and ends of threads and maybe a few dreams too. The other half of the pillow still stuck in my head. Well the tiger patterned cover part. Anyways yeah 1988 all the way to 2015 and finished it a few months ago actually. Just never got around to showing it. The majority of the cross stitching was done on the cover but there was just a few spots that needed to be completed plus the cover. I had plenty of the tiger material left over when I actually had a costume made also in the same year as 88.
Oh the reason why I first made it was well, I was stuck in bed for a few weeks with the chicken pox. Well, more weeks then what was required to recover. That was because it was also a very traumatic time and year. It was just my luck that my mother had yet another bout with manic depression. It was horrible. I had to endure lots of strange behaviour and in later repeating years, all kinds of strange actions, sometimes scary and shouting from her, but that's another story. Then of course there was grade school its self. That always was a real hell hole to me.
I was a kid. Who in the world would stand up, be on my side and protect me from all this craziness? No one. No man as in humans anyways. ;) It was all tough nuggies for me.
Actually I did have for awhile my former next door neighbour and best friends but that welcome was busted after awhile. So much for knowing them since I was a toddler. So much for best friends forever. Life goes on. :_(  *broken heart*

Note;
Please note that my mother's issues are no longer that intense since her hysterectomy she had a number of years ago. That and the fact she now sticks to her meds which is just right for her needs, her and ours walk with Jesus Christ. But she still has her occasional weirdness. Don't we all.

Since being stuck in bed for so long, I had already completed other projects and ran out of the pre-designed needle point and cross stitching stuff. (Some of it hangs on the walls to this day. ) I needed more stuff to occupy and distract me instead of vegetating in front of the TV all day so I made my own design hence that's where the Garfield calendar came it.
Back then I was a pretty big fan of Garfield and besides the comics I was lucky enough to get, I tried to get at least one stuffed Garfield. But that was hard since I had no one to gift those to me. That was pretty much common for me. So many times I would make my own stuff based on my favourite things.
Yeah I eventually managed to get a teenie stuffed Garfield from someplace and an Odie from a Mc Donald’s.
I have those to this day sitting in my bedroom on display on an old handmade record (record player) desk I like to call it.

This pic obtained from an Ebay user/seller who was selling the calendar. But yeah again I have the calendar myself. Just got too lazy to scan my own. Love this calendar. :)

The illustration I used for the project. Image from someone else's blog.

So yeah here it is my cute Garfield pillow based on a favourite scene from a Garfield Year of the Party 88 calendar. Hopefully I won't have any other really old projects to complete. But hay at least I don't give up on things. That has to count for something. Am I right?

What the back of the pillow looks like.
Various pics of my kitty Meetso with the pillow.
He decided to look out the window for any unsuspecting potential victims. Aka tasty little morsels. ;)
Hay? where's my face on a pillow?

Pillow featured soon on my personal web site as well.

Duck egg

A little belated in the show n tell sorry about that.
Its been so nice outside I took care of some of the outdoor stuff.

Anyways What goes well with April showers? A family of ducks of course.
It was worth making many pics of the egg since this one has so much to see.

If you look closely you will even see a bonus creature that loves the water.

Bottom of egg. See the fishy? ;)

Top of egg. That design on top depicts a rainy cloud. A favorite of our wet friends.

And as always here are the previous eggs shown.

Hen egg

Another symbol of Easter, spring fever and the whole newness of things. The hen and her eggs. I think more so then some silly bunny hiding eggs.
Now a chocolate bunny is another thing. Yum.

Oh and if you're wondering technically Easter is still going on according to the Christian calendar. It goes right up until Pentecost so I'm not late or a slow poke. I already had finished these weeks ago and clear coated them. I just like to make the joy of sharing, last. ;)

Almost the top of the egg.
A bright blazing sun.

 The bottom of the egg.
Just another view point of those cute baby chicks.

Dove fish and bread

Got a bit side tracked. This was actually finished a month or so ago.
Its a new faith based vector graphics.

Older works can be seen via the web site.  :)
