Now out. A set of lovely traditional Croatian costumed folk dance dolls in the form of digital graphics.

Comes in both male and female characters and can be linked together to create a dance scene if desired. Basic paint brush patterns featuring traditional patterns included. Just download from the appropriate MS sites. Costumes not particularly associated with any region of Croatia. Just your typical generic design by me.

As always also to be featured in my personal web site soon.

Enjoy and thanks for viewing!

homemade Fall Birthday card 2019

A lovely birthday card I made last year for a friend. She loves these types of whimsical style cards and I had a enjoyable time creating it. Also makes a great portfolio and memory piece.

Featuring animal friends of the forest celebrating a fall birthday with all the trimmings.

The card its self is made with coloured construction paper. On it I free handed a drawing with a coloured pencil and later added detail such as shading with you guessed it more coloured pencil and a bit of marker to make things pop.

First I free-handed an image in a yellow pencil to make it stand out. πŸ”Ί

Second phase. Starting to add shading. Finding my way around the card
too. πŸ”Ί

Third phase. Really starting to take shape. Got to keep on working. πŸ”Ί

Forth phase. Just about done. πŸ”Ί

Using white coloured pencil here is relatively easy here.

All done and added the inside part of the card. πŸ”Ί

Then I placed the image illustration on a piece of some kind of white card stock I had on hand. I can't remember what it was because it was a while ago but I'm pretty sure I got it out of my box o bits and pieces. That's where my small pieces of leftovers go when I finish a project. Comes it handy and less environmental waste.

Added a cute message and other things of which I will not share for privacy reasons. Mostly created using marker and some coloured pencil πŸ”Ί

Since I didn't have an envelope on hand I simply made one out of a white sheet of paper. It seem to be the right size and was pretty convenient. Then I put on the address and decorated it a bit with a bit more forest whimsy. A cute trouble making black squirrel all decked out with a birthday hat and present/gift a squirrel can only provide.

Added a cute but rascally squirrel on the envelope along with important info which I'm not disclosing for privacy reasons. If your wondering about the blue colour on the black squirrel is because to provide a simulated sheen to his furπŸ”ΊAfter all black squirrels are not just black when their fur shines in the sun, you can see shades of colour. Most people might not notice that detail but that's alright. Since I'm qualified I can bring that up for those that are interested in those type of details.

Hope you enjoyed my latest piece. Artwork will be uploaded to my personal web site soon.Providing that I still get to keep it. Considering where every thing is going these days with the turmoil.

God bless and keep the peace!

Turkey card

Now posted in my personal web site the blue sweater with shinny stars.

Butttt oh what's this a lovely card I made last year with a Thanks Giving theme.
I felt bad last year for missing my friends birthday so I made her this lovely card featuring this makeshift turkey in the tradition of children's craft art. OK they usually make it out of a hand prints but this is like the whimsical version for grown ups.
I used a fancy fall leaf from a Chinese/Japanese maple as the tail. The leaf was preserved last year. Then I took scraps of construction paper shaped it in to the other parts of the turkey. Before I glued them on, I coloured patterns of feathers, face and other things that you would see on a turkey with coloured pencil and markers. I glued them all on a scrap of water coloured paper cut and folded in to a nice card, but not folded in the usual way. Picture a wet floor sign. I kind of was going for something different anyways. Pretty pleased with the whole results. Needless to say she was quite pleased too. And oh yeah I did remember to give her a nice card (another home made)this year for her birthday. I made sure I didn't forget. Wrote it on all kind of calendars and it does help to make things a head of time too.
Anyways Happy Thanks Giving πŸŒ°πŸ—Canadian version. But its also good for the American version too. 😁

Little Ballet Girl 2 painted up

Now that most of my distractions are taken care of I can post my other painting of the Little Ballet girl. Just as before, painted on canvas in water colour with a bit of acrylic. Painting is 8.5 x11

The original reference

The finished painting.
Close up of face.

As I said before, a little different as in position and added a sort of a flower arch in the bg but still in keeping in the style of the other one I painted earlier. I was able to make her more prevent this time around since I did not have to make the skirt/dress as wide.
As before the original owner was very pleased.  🐱

And see the previous process that eventually ended up the Little Ballet girl 2 painting.

Little Ballet girl 1 completed

Wow! We got some new stuff here. Anyways here's the completed version of the Little Ballet girl 1. Painted on canvas in water colour with a bit of acrylic. Painting is 8.5 x11
Here's the original photo of the little girl. Remember no taking! Seriously No! After all this is someone's loved one and I had the permission to use this image.
As you can see even zooming in didn't help much with seeing every detail. Especially zooming in on the most important part, the nose. The picture was taken the conventional way. So doing lots of sketches and homing in on the more challenging areas really helped a lot.  See previous posts(click on the pins);πŸ“ŒπŸ“ŒπŸ“Œ

Background was not important to the client and she wanted a light hearted look to the portrait painting so the background was painted in a mono tone style. Various shades of pink. I was more liberal to the colour pallets I used on the little girl. Made it stand out really nice. I also used some of the elements from the original pic mostly just the shape of things and changing them in to a marble table with flowers on it. I also added grass and a nice stone path. I was temped to add other things to the painting but I was a afraid that it would take focus off the main subject.
I also had to keep in mind that the lighting would be different too from the original picture.

So in the end the client was very pleased along with her friends.
I think it turned out very nice over all but as always there's always room for improvements to the next piece.
Now on to the next commission. 😺

Cool treats set 3

Happy New year every one.  Hope every one had some great holidays? If you did, consider your self one of the lucky ones. Not every one is so lucky. Sadly.

Anyhow we have a new vector to feature. Cool treats but as classic ice cream set using time honored real ingredients. Well vector graphics. But what ever. Enjoy.

Also has any one had a chance to visit my newly moved personal web site. Its located in the links area of my blog on the side panel. Does it work alright? No certificate error? If so, just ignore it. Its the web hosters fault for not fixing this. Hopefully they fix it soon. In which case the latest vector is also now also viewable on my personal web site.

PS
If you noticed I have started to only post my vectors from the actual micro stock places. Its for added security.  I hope you understand.

a new home and a Sunny day

Found a new web hosting place, well I actually had it booked marked for quite awhile but never had to use it till now I guess. It was pretty confusing at first considering it was a bit more complicated to use compared to the old one, but thank God I figured it out eventually. Just finished putting it up at the new place but I noticed it needs a few tweaks or two. Not a problem. Will take care of those later and will place a redirect at the old site too soon as the old place gets up and running. Yup they're still down. Guess its a price to pay for being a bit too easy and popular. None the less I really like the new place, its fast, no advertisements and its been around for awhile which is really great cause you really never know with a new hosting place. They change so frequently and can be gone in a flash. Lets just hope this new place doesn’t have a policy of only giving you something for free for a month. Sometimes these rules are well hidden and have a bad habit of biting you back. Anyways here's the new location of my personal web site.

Oh and as a bonus, here's one original illustration for the latest book I worked on as posted from last time in another blog post. Enjoy.
